Home is a magical word for those who reside on Shadowvale. All of its residents know what it is to be without a real home. No place to consider a safe haven and be oneself. Living in constant fear and/or anticipation of the next confrontation with someone who wishes to deny their right to exist.

Shadowvale was established in 1992 by Devon Claymore and his family. Though Devon himself died his Final Death a scant 12 years later, his legacy lives on in his daughter Sheryl. The island of Shadowvale is not of this world, completely. Nor of any world. It is located at a nexus of sorts. Though the island itself never seems to move, the ways to arrive at it change from time to time, at seemingly random intervals. In its infancy, Shadowvale was under constant attack from the world it was closest to. This world was unlike the Earth that you are familar with. It was itsel a moiling chaos of improbabilites, with creatures from all across the multiverse co-existing in an tenuous peace punctuated by violent upheavals.

The Claymores eventually managed to cause Shadowvale to drift away from this chaotic realm and closer to Devon’s native world, Earth. On Earth, supernatural creatures are considered fictional... by the general populace.
